I believe that fifteen members of the Rutherford County Commission have intentionally and systematically mislead the public they are supposed to represent. These Commissioners released budget information for the General School Fund to The Daily News Jounal that was blatantly wrong. It is my belief that this information was intentionally misleading to turn the public against the Rutherford County School Board in order to sway public opinion in the ongoing battle over who has the authority to design and build schools.

• What was given to the Public at the 1999-2000 Rutherford County Budget Public Hearing?

• The General Fund was fully funded with no tax increase. How did that happen?

• The General-Purpose School fund was funded at a level that left if $2.16 million short. How did that happen?

• Fifteen of the County Commissioners sent a letter to The Daily News Journal explaining their side of the General-Purpose School fund.

• On July 19, 1999, I sent a letter to the 15 Commissioners that signed the letter that appeared in The Daily News Journal. I also attached spreadsheets detailing my calculations pertaining to the General Fund and the General School Fund.
